1993 Started trading as Sweeney Environmental Limited

1994 Awarded the muck away contract for the Jubilee Line Extension

1995 Moved to Trout Lane Depot and renovated premises Awarded Heathrow Express muck away Contract

1996 Purchased land at Potters Crouch to develop golf course.

1997 Purchased freehold of Trout Lane Depot

1998 First recycling shed constructed and built of its kind in the West London area

1999 Chairman, John Sweeney started flying around Europe to view recycling operations

2000 Started to install first full recycling system

2003 Awarded the Terminal 5 Waste Management Contract

2006 Offices moved to Grand Union Office Park Started providing Slough Heating and Power with wood chip and fibre fuel

2007 January – rebranded to Ethos Recycling Ltd
Started program of acquisitions
Brought a site in Barking, East London
Brought out Specialist Waste Services
Brought a site in Oxfordshire

2008 Acquired the business and assets, including Worldwide IP rights, of Compact Power and BATNEEC (Bristol)
